About ColorLife Liqi

Philosophy

ColorLife Liqi is not a traditional almanac tool. It is an attempt to make the metaphysics model computable.

We believe the four pillars are, at their core, a quantifiable energy structure — the five elements have strength and weakness, the ten gods wax and wane, the luck cycles rise and fall. Rather than stopping at vague fortune-telling language, we render this structure with a deterministic model so that everyone can see the energy distribution and cyclical patterns within their own chart.

This is not a rejection of tradition. It continues one particular thread within it — the thread of liqi: *reason about the qi, and from the qi, read the momentum*.

The Liqi Model

The core of the model transforms the four pillars into computable energy signals:

  • Elemental Energy: Normalized shares of metal, wood, water, fire and earth after hidden-stem, seasonal, combination and clash weighting. The strongest and weakest elements often point to the central tension of a chart.
  • Ten-God Distribution: Counted from the day master across stems and hidden stems. The ten gods are the language of relationships — who generates me, whom I control, who shares my nature — shaping personality and behavior.
  • Momentum Curve: The day master's energy across the twelve stages (birth → bathing → robing → official → prosperous → decline → illness → death → grave → extinct → embryo → nurture), spanning the pillars and luck cycles to plot a lifetime of energy flow.
  • Body–Use Relationship: The pillars are the body (main qi); the luck cycles are the use (guest qi). Main-weak/guest-strong and main-strong/guest-weak are normal; both strong (excess) or both weak (deficiency) signal imbalance, warranting attention to adverse signals of the corresponding element during those periods.
  • Directional Adjustment: Favorable and unfavorable directions are judged by day-master strength. A weak day master benefits from directions that generate or share it; a strong one benefits from those it controls or generates — marked by Bagua sectors and Later-Heaven numbers.

Data & Privacy

Every calculation runs locally in your browser.

The birth information you enter — year, month, day, hour — is never uploaded to any server. It exists only in memory and vanishes when you close the page. We do not need, nor do we store, any of your chart data. Language preference is saved via browser localStorage and can be cleared at any time.
